Macadamia Nut Pate

Macadamia Nut Pate

The Few Things You Will Need

Equipment:

  • a medium mixing bowl
  • measuring cups and spoons
  • airtight container
  • something to crush up nut meat
  • wooden spoon

Ingredients:

Wet Ingredients

  • 8 oz of lemon juice
  • 4 oz of water

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups of macadamia nuts (or pine nuts)
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • garlic to taste

Directions:

  1. After soaking the macadamia nuts, drain and rinse them thoroughly.
  2. In a high-speed blender or food processor, combine the soaked macadamia nutswith the remainder of the wet and dry ingredients. Blend until smooth and creamy. You may need to scrape down the sides occasionally to ensure all ingredients are well incorporated.
  3. Taste the pâté and adjust the seasoning as needed, adding more salt, pepper, or lemon juice if desired.

Getting The Right Consistency

If the pâté is too thick, add a little more water, a tablespoon at a time, until you reach the desired consistency. Transfer the pâté to a serving dish and garnish with fresh herbs. It can be served immediately or chilled for a firmer texture.
